Australian Schools Embrace Reading Eggs
Over 2000 classes across Australia participated in the first ever Reading Eggs Schools Early Literacy Challenge. The 6 week challenge, which commenced on 15 February 2009, was designed to get students excited and motivated about an important and basic learning skill – reading. During the challenge 32000 students busily completed over 100 000 lessons.
The feedback from teachers was very positive with results from an online survey showing that 98% of teachers would recommend the program to their colleagues.
89.4% of teachers said that the Reading Eggs program complemented their classroom reading lessons and a further 76.1% of teachers said that they noticed improvement in their students’ interest in learning to read.
Schools who did not participate in the Reading Eggs Schools Early Literacy Challenge still have the opportunity to participate in a 4 week free trial. For more information, please contact the Reading Eggs customer service desk on 02 8585 4020.
